Ann was born on April 24, 1976 in Rochester, New York. Her father was finishing his MFA in Music (Jazz) and the family moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1979.She received her B.A. in Theatre Arts from Greensboro College in North Carolina and her M.F.A. in Acting from the Univerisity of Connecticut-Storrs in 2001.She spent the summer of 2001 working at the Berkshire Theatre Festival in two productions and then moved to NYC just in time for the attacks on 9/11. After two years in New York she and her husband decided to move to New Orleans on a whim and with the news that the film industry was buzzing. They lived in New Orleans for two years and lost their home in Hurricane Katrina. They then moved to Asheville, North Carolina where the locals often ask them, "Why'd you move here?".
