  • In films from 1937 to 1945, Darrell Ware functioned as screenwriter and occasional associate producer. Until 1942, Ware was under contract to 20th Century Fox, writing or co-writing a number of Shirley Temple vehicles, among other projects. During his Fox stay, he shared an Academy Award nomination for his work on Tall, Dark and Handsome (1941). From 1942 until his retirement, Darrell Ware was employed by Paramount, writing for such luminaries as Bing Crosby, Alan Ladd, and Paulette Goddard.
