Gerry Cohen

Gerry Cohen is a prolific director of American TV shows. Cohen got his start in television helming episodes of the sitcom "Married with Children," starring Ed O'Neill, Katey Sagal, and Christina Applegate. He became the primary director of the comedy series during its third season, and worked on more than 150 episodes between 1987 and '97, even helming the two-part series finale. Cohen directed two episodes of the short-lived "Married with Children" spin-off "Top of the Heap," starring Matt LeBlanc, and he also helmed episodes of the similarly themed sitcom "Unhappily Ever After." In the late '90s, Cohen continued to direct shows in the working-class-comedy vein with numerous episodes of "The Drew Carey Show" and "Norm," featuring "Saturday Night Live" alum Norm MacDonald. During the following years, Cohen contributed to the TV comedies "George Lopez," "According to Jim," "Living with Fran," and "Still Standing," all family-oriented comedies featuring broad humor.
