Birthplace: Columbus, Georgia, USA

Despite her impressive career as a high fashion model, many knew Kim Porter even better for her long time, high profile relationship with music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. Born in Columbus, Georgia in 1971, Porter left her hometown at the young age of 16, moving to New York after signing a contract with Elite Model Management. She would embark on a wildly successful career on the catwalk and in front of the camera, representing brands like Tommy Hilfiger in the pages of magazines like Glamour and Cosmopolitan. In 1989, the young Porter met singer and producer Al B. Sure, and the two began a relationship. The pair would split not long after the 1991 birth of their son Quincy Brown, but a few years later, Porter began the long, on-again-off-again relationship with Combs that would often place her in the tabloids over the coming decade. At the same time, Porter nurtured a burgeoning acting career, eventually landing a recurring role on the drama "Wicked Wicked Games" (Fox, 2006-07). Combs eventually legally adopted Porter's son Brown, and the two would have three more children, but their separations and the public scrutiny that accompanied them would mire the relationship and they broke up for good in 2009. Tragically, Porter died in 2018 following complications from pneumonia. She was 47 years old.
