Kyle Snyder

Born in 1995, Kyle Snyder was raised in Maryland and quickly found his niche: freestyle wrestling. His natural talent soon became evident, and he gave up playing on his nationally ranked high school football team to concentrate on wrestling. Undefeated in his high school career at 179-0, not surprisingly winning a number of awards including ASICS 2013 Male Wrestler of the Year and was declared the number one pound for pound American high school wrestler according to flowrestling.org. In 2013, Snyder declared that he would forego his senior year of high school to train and compete as a resident athlete at the United States Olympic Training Center. The same year, he became the youngest American in over 20 years to win Gold at the FILA Junior World Championship. In 2014, Snyder became the youngest wrestler ever selected to the Beat the Streets All-Star Team, representing Team USA wrestling and competing around the world against top veterans of the sport. In 2015, Snyder won the World Championships held in Las Vegas. The same year he Snyder went undefeated and won the NCAA Championship in the heavyweight division. Snyder was chosen to represent the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
