Max Mellinger was a big screen film actor known for powerful performances. In 1952, he had his debut TV role in "The Unexpected." In 1961, he appeared in the film "Secret of Deep Harbor." In 1968, he had his final film role in "Funny Girl." Mellinger began his career with a role on "Bachelor Father" (CBS, 1957-1962). Mellinger made film his next project, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "I Passed For White" (1960) with Sonya Wilde. Later in his career, Mellinger acted in the Carol Lynley adaptation sequel "Return to Peyton Place" (1961). Mellinger passed away in February 1968 at the age of 62.
