Born in 1993 in Melbourne, Australia, Rarmian Newton's first onscreen appearances came before he finished high school. A small role in an episode of the anthology series "Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King" (TNT, 2006) was his first credit, in 2006. Six years later, he appeared in a recurring role on the Australian series "Dance Academy" (ABC1/ABC3, 2010-13), then played a young version of one of the band members in the Australian mini-series "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart" (Seven Network, 2014). In 2016, Newton landed his first series regular role on the political crime thriller "The Family" (ABC, 2016) starring Joan Allen. Although that show ran for only one season, Newton didn't waste any time resting, again landing a series regular role, this time on the series "Rise" (NBC, 2018) about the performing arts department at an at-risk high school.
