The animation is a step down. The plot is a whiff of fluff compared to the masterpiece of the theatrical original. It just didn't feel very special or magical. Disney seemingly released this light-celebration of a classic, simply to make some dollars. As far as Christmas specials go, there are far better traditional classics like Rudolph and Frosty to thrill the youngins'
