Argerich gives a far more intimate, offbeat and complex portrait of an artist than could ever have been provided by any non family member.

A documentary made by a daughter about her mother, Argerich is a very personal take on a woman who is world famous for her talent as a musician, a pianist whose gift has made her public property.

Nothing that really gets under the skin, but some touching moments.

This intimate documentary centres on Martha Argerich, considered to be one of the greatest classical pianists of her generation, but it's also a portrait of an unusually talented, bohemian family, with all the expected dysfunctions.
