Directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Timothee Chalamet (Elio) and Armie Hammer (Oliver);
Call Me By Your Name is a movie which tells the story of a young boy who spends most of his summers writing, playing and swimming across somewhere northern Italy. His life turns around when a new foreigner student comes to his parents house. Oliver, a very attractive young 24 year old man.

They both fall in love in just a couple of weeks, experiencing and discovering their newly and freshly summer love. One of the greatest things about this film is that you can perceive the love between Elio and Oliver through the screen.
This movie really makes you feel like you are in Italy mid 80's, the way the actors portrait their characters is unbelievable and incredibly charming, this isn't like one of those same sex relationship cliché movies, this film is a celebration of love, respect, desire and sweetness.

The director really knew what he was doing, the movie is so beautifully well shoot, it is filled with magnificent locations and beautiful sets, the landscapes very much go along with the story.

For all of these reasons I would easily give this very unique film a 4 1/2 stars, it will make you cry like nothing else, it is moving how well and accepting their parents are, it's just full of beautiful things and you wont stop thinking about it.

I wonder if banality has ever looked so beautiful.

Film tries to normalize pedophilia

A universal trist of unrequited love that should appeal to all whom have truly loved and the regrets such an affair brings, internal and external, of having it unfulfilled. The foreboding symbolism of the ending is especially wrenching.

The best film of the human dynamics of love and emotion.

Very well shot, and good acting involved, especially Timothée Chalamet. Not sure about the OSCAR nom, but better than Brokeback.

The Bible says what The Bible says, this stuff is WRONG, especially when one person is much older then the other. However this is one wildly unique film, with a beautiful 80s Italian tone.

This movie does the most a motion picture can do to its audience. It tells a story with such truth and relativity that at some point it becomes about the viewer. Luca Guadagnino orchestrates this storytelling with such authenticity, it's a challenge to try to find a false moment. Timothée Chalamet is a revelation of otherworldy talent. He is at once oblivious and hyper-aware of the camera. He is theatrical and absolutely naturalistic at the same time. Armie Hammer is as generous as anyone could be in moving his giant, movie-star statured frame into the background when needed. Michael Stuhlbarg proves there are no small parts and Amira Casar is the all-seeing every-mother. James Ivory's mystifyingly measured adaptation of Andre Aciman's poetic novel is astounding. One of the most successful moviemaking endeavors I've ever seen. It is truly the best version of itself I can imagine it being.
