It’s a deliciously unhinged mix that works more often than it doesn’t. Go to Full Review

While the entire story, vibe, and production work perfectly for me, it never could’ve come together without the right cast. Fortunately, the casting is sublime for this one. Go to Full Review

The microbudget horror comedy film can be a bit of an acquired taste, but if that is a taste you enjoy, Found Footage is a nice meal. Go to Full Review

We wouldn’t be surprised if the comedy horror mockumentary garners a cult following in the years to come or if [director Max] Tzannes goes on to bigger things. Go to Full Review

[T]here are much worse things in the world than an imperfect movie with modest goals that mostly wants to make you laugh and mostly succeeds. Go to Full Review

Hilarious, terrifying, exceedingly clever, and a must-see for fans of horror-comedy and DIY filmmaking. It’s a cliché to lament the difficulty of effectively blending comedy and horror, but it bears repeating when a film nails it so perfectly. Go to Full Review

William P @William589 Jan 13 While the movie isn't incredibly groundbreaking, it's self aware enough so it's not throwing pop culture as t you every 5 seconds and the ending is very fast paced and nice. Good movir! See more Gabriel T @GabrielFagundes Jan 9 I wasn't expecting much, and I was a little reticent at its beginning, but I really ended up liking it. It's funny, silly, and SCARY. I just wish they had spent more time with the "there's no demon here when it's obvious that we have a demon here" gag See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Dec 12 Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project is marketed as a 2025 horror film, but it feels more like a disorganized mock documentary that never finds its footing. Nearly the entire runtime plays out as dull behind-the-scenes chatter with no tension, no buildup, and no sense of direction. The acting is stiff, the interviews feel fake, and nothing about the presentation resembles actual horror. By the time the film finally tries to introduce something scary, it’s far too late, and the moment feels cheap and tacked on rather than earned. The screenplay lacks structure, the pacing drags endlessly, and the direction never commits to a tone or purpose. Instead of suspense, viewers get confusion; instead of a story, they get aimless footage pretending to be meaningful. With weak performances, poor execution, and zero payoff, this becomes a complete misfire that feels more like a mistake than a movie. See more Tammi S. @incabinka007 Oct 19 Quite funny! I’ve watched it twice in a week. Spinal tap for the horror genre See more Metehan Ç @Han12737373 Oct 1 Amazing Comedy - horror movie. Ending is cheap cut but in this budget crew made amazing work. See more James F @RT99431179 Sep 6 Every so often, a film comes along that not only uses the found footage format effectively but also offers a clever meta-commentary on it. "Found Footage: The Making of the Patterson Project" is one such film. Featuring strong, grounded performances, the film's layered narrative, comedic tone, escalating horror, and brisk 90-minute run time make for a fun flick to watch with a group of friends.
