The survival of mankind hangs in the balance when Set, the merciless god of darkness, usurps Egypt's throne and plunges the prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. I think the movie is quite interesting because it shows how the gods were seen, you can also see all their abilities and powers that they had. The performances seem quite well done to me, especially that of Nicolaj Coster-Waldou and obviously that of Gerard Butler.

I don’t know why there is not more outrage regarding this cast being majorly European white, even to the effect of their accents! GODS OF EGYPT with not one Egyptian. Filmmakers like this are gross🤮

A pretty good action film, reminds of all the middle eastern films like prince of Persia or the old Sinbad movies. Decent story and just a fun romp. Don’t get caught up in accuracy or cgi wasn’t good enough, watch it for fun and you will enjoy it. It’s a fantasy movie not Shakespeare.
