The genial comedy has its funny moments, but overall lacks a knockout punch.

Audience Reviews for In the Mood (The Woo Woo Kid)

Damn, but Patrick Dempsy is a gifted comedian. In IN THE MOOD he manages to be charming, sweet, innocent and goofy. The set-up is funny, all the more so being based on a "true story". While it's true that today this sort of story wouldn't be met with such fanfare, it's fun to see the 1950's American public's reaction to it. IN THE MOOD is genial and sweet. It's little more than a cute comedy, but it contains some astute observations on the difference between men and women's approach to romance, and it will leave you with a smile on your face.

I watched "In The Mood" only because I was bored and it was on Encore so I watched it not really expecting much. However, the movie has a very wacky story plot that kept me awake at least and had a few good "awesome" moments, such as Steve the Bunny. Some bits were boring and the end really didn't turn out the way I wanted, and the odd relationship between the Woo Woo Kid and his father was a bit unexplained, which may have made the movie better.
