Carol W Aug 15 I was mesmerised throughout this movie. I reflected afterwards so it was obviously made well to provoke that in me. I noted that it would have been unusual to have such things going on in the 1950/60s. Perhaps I’m mistaken. I felt an overwhelming sadness for the wives and children left in the wake of Dixie’s sexual (love?) pursuits. I felt sorry for Felixs who probably knew about his wife’s exploits and who survived terrible experiences before coming to Australia during the WW11. All in all I do not know what was the point in publicly telling this story? I also believe that anyone can be a father but a Dad, a loving kind reliable Dad is precious so I do not fully understand Eve’s love/appreciation of Dixie. Anyway that’s my opinion. Overall it saddens me me. See more Read all reviews
