The movie mutates beyond recognition, refusing to stick to any one idea for longer than a couple of scenes. Go to Full Review

A mix of ridiculous, chaotic, playful, and stoic, this quietly ambitious crime thriller will appeal to those with a penchant for the dark and absurd, but may leave others a little dazed and confused. Go to Full Review

As quirky as its title suggests... That said, Psycho Therapy stands above many similar crime farces thanks to its satirical elements and its interesting performances. Go to Full Review

Dark comedy and situational cluelessness come to an exasperating if drolly invigorating head, which is almost always the default for films set in New York but works, luckily, as a charm rather than as criticism here. Go to Full Review

A droll black comedy that's a little on the pokey side; it has some good ideas, but could have executed them with more energy. Still, it's diverting to see Buscemi playing the senior role in a kind of offbeat indie buddy flick he's done before. Go to Full Review

A charming return to form for the adult comedy genre — dialogue-driven, character-first, and delightfully absurd. It's a smart and silly piece of narrative chaos that earns every word of its unwieldy title. Go to Full Review

Briana I. @Anaire Apr 24 I was very apprehensive the first 48 mins of the film. I mean we all know Buscemi as a legend, but I didn't care for Magaro, he was annoying and they're duo in the beginning wasn't enough balance to keep me interesting but then... it ended up being just a big mess of fun when the wife Lower carried them in second half to the end of the movie. Honestly without her being the biggest twist I would have checked out long ago. But overall I enjoyed it more than I'd like to admit. See more Kashgar A @AllFunAndGames Apr 23 More of a dark comedy than a thriller. Didn’t quite land, and they needed to tack another fifteen minutes or so onto the ending to resolve the whole thing. Honestly not sure why it ended when it did. See more Frederick L. @Fredostanton Feb 15 This movie was all over the place... but in the bestest of ways See more Andrei D @RT74856639 Feb 3 Buscemi tries but the other actors are basically in different movies and the core ideas is not that good See more Jose J. @driver85661311 Jan 27 Definitely not for everyone but I think if you watch at just the right moment the acting wins you over. See more Bisquiteen T @RT65021124 Jan 15 I'm not sure why Steve Buscemi is styled like John Waters for this film, but it definitely adds to the hilarity. I really, REALLY don't know why this is marketed as a thriller instead of a black comedy. Yes, there are "thrilling" elements, but mostly it's a quiet movie (sometimes punctuated by very terrible, very loud music) where the focus is on the absurdity of the situation: a serial killer learns to be a marriage counselor while a divorcé learns to be a serial killer. It's got the kind of comedic misunderstandings and ridiculous slapstick that you would see in something like Three's Company or Frasier, just on a much darker level. A bit of Rear Window parody too. Quite funny film, not really at all a thriller, but mostly enjoyable. Maybe the worst plot summary I've seen. The serial killing barely plays into it and, again, this is no "thriller." The music is absolutely awful though, like, be ready to turn your speakers down nonstop. Sadly, the ending is ruinous for the film. See more Read all reviews
