Kurosh M. @Cyrus888 Mar 11 What a fantastic film!!! It is one of those films that you cannot wait to see again and makes you excited to share with your friends (and write a review)! I was fortunate enough to catch a preview showing of the film at a French Embassy-hosted event in Washington, where it, and its director - Hamed Mobasser - received effusive praise. The film captivatingly blends layers of master storytelling, artistic expression, and Congolese culture and history. It draws in the viewer with the rhythms of Congolese rumba, which weaves multifaceted emotion and elements of intrigue into a rich depiction of 1959’s Congo. Kudos to Hamed, the cast (including famed Congolese actor Fally Ipupa), and the production team for creating such a masterpiece of film, despite a number of challenges. This film should be nominated for an Academy Award!!! See more Read all reviews
