Never saw it but rest assured, I would have walked out 5 minutes into the movie.
Its funny, Ameture but still funnt humor and its awesome sillynes makes this movie what it is! A Jackie Chan blast to the past kick as kid movie! I always watched this when i was a litte kid and i loved it! Its almost like the pacifier with Vin Diesel but even better! 8,5/10 witch is an awesome rating!
Wasn't a fan of this generic family film that you've probably seen already. Jackie Chan is great as always but sadly, that's the only great thing about this film. Avoid with care
Jackie Chan as an undercover Chinese spy on loan to the CIA (don't think about that stretch too long) who has to convince the children of the woman he wants to marry that he's an okay guy, only the kids don't want to hear it. So the film is one scene after another of him trying to get a heart-to-heart with the little hardheads, punctuated by typical frenetic choreographed Chan action set pieces. The film mimes heart but actually has only a little.
While the script doesn't go as far as it could with the premise and the messages about family values are painfully ham-fisted/heavy-handed, Jackie Chan's performance as well as the more decent ones of the supporting cast, including the kids coupled with surprisingly good action sequences prevent it from being the worst family film ever despite its one-joke premise.
It had a lot of potential but failed even though for Jackie Chan's abilities.
The Spy Next Door represents Jackie Chan's general decline in cinema.
Was sadly disappointed with this movie, okay stunts were good, typical Jackie Chan. Definitely geared more towards the younger generation actors just way over acted, accents were absolutely horrible, sometimes it ever seemed as if they just went with what happen instead of the script, sorry but honest opinion. I give this movie a D-.
Not my favorite som what funny
Pretty awful movie. Bad acting, bad story (Was a rip off of the Pacifier, which was already bad), and stupid casting choices like Billy Ray Cyrus as a CIA agent. Bad
