Bautista gives his all, but the same cannot be said for Bobby Cannavale as Ray’s partner, Andre Washburn. His performance is boilerplate. Go to Full Review

We do not give [Bobby Cannavale] enough credit. From drama to comedy, and in this case action, when it gets hot he's right there in it and you believe every moment. Go to Full Review

The narrative moves along at a spanking pace, and the action is staged and shot at a pretty high level. Not quite, you know, peak Peter Hyams level, but pretty good. Go to Full Review

What's interesting about the film is that it manages to entertain despite its outlandish plot twists. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

This action-thriller feels off target in its tone, taking a Goonies-style teen adventure and mashing it up with a serious movie about drug dealers and death and wasting its cast in the process. Go to Full Review

Trap House is a well-balanced movie that occasionally struggles to get its tone across. By balancing so many elements, not all are given the attention they deserve. Go to Full Review

patti f Nov 17 movie was good, had alot of action and storyline kept your attention. See more Thomas B Nov 16 Action packed. Grrat characters . See more Kevin W. @VTCOYS 2h Bautista is the only good part of this movie. Everything else was painful, unbelievable and ridiculous. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 19h Trap House is not a terrible crime drama, but it never becomes more than serviceable. The story, centered on a hardened officer and his child navigating escalating danger, has a solid emotional hook and maintains steady momentum. The screenplay builds credibility well enough, grounding its tension in family stakes rather than empty action. Jack Champion is the clear standout, delivering a performance filled with sincerity, focus, and surprising emotional depth. He elevates nearly every scene he is in and gives the film a sense of urgency it might otherwise lack. Unfortunately, Dave Bautista feels stiff and repetitive, offering little variation or intensity. His performance flattens key moments that should carry dramatic weight. That imbalance keeps the film from reaching its potential. In the end, Trap House is watchable largely because of Champion, who proves he has the presence and skill to anchor far stronger material than this. Without him, the film would struggle to justify See more Ervin A @Eaco4997 22h The action and plot moves fast which keeps it mildly entertaining. The storyline isn’t great tho. See more Kate R. @SkateR88 1d I agree with others that this is definitely a B-list movie at most… and Dave Bautista is always a good casting call. But the movie almost lost me after the main kid character talks about how the Cartel is “Amateur hour.” And then the next scene proves how he’s completely wrong. I do think this movie will work best for teenagers, who don’t really have a clue, yet. I was a teenager once lol, so I get it… but it’s the MEXICAN CARTEL we’re dealing with here. They’re not “amateur hour” by any means. See more Read all reviews
