High school is hard for all students, but it's even more difficult for somebody who is dealing with personal challenges that most teens don't. That is the case for Alexa, who is undergoing cancer treatment while trying to adjust to high school. She maintains her outgoing personality and enthusiasm for life despite her health issues, thanks in part to loyal best friend Katie remaining by her side through it all. Whether they're at school, home or the hospital, the girls are always by each other's side through thick and thin. Also part of Alexa's life is determined and protective mother Lori.

05/15/2022 Awful acting. The story kinda sucks. See more 01/23/2021 Alexa & Katie is an excellent show. The best performances by far are by the cast member with no professional acting experience, Isabel May (Katie.) There are several scenes that stand out to me but the very best ones are those in which her character experiences panic attacks. It was as if she was having actual panic attacks. Isabel May deserves to go on to major movies. The only detriment to this show is the hugely stereotypical writing and characterizations of the Alexa's brother and father. I frankly am sick of the dumb brother character. I regret greatly that they didn't do a very good job of writing his character.
