Episodes
Thirty-six semifinalists arrive in Beverly Hills and introduce themselves to Tyra and J. Alexander, who eliminate 16 of them.
The finalists move into a Bel Air mansion and are driven in a stretch limousine. Robin Leach ("Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous") and photographer Mike Ruiz are guests.
After the models get makeovers, they are sent to Rodeo Drive on a shopping challenge. Hairstylist Louis Licari helps out with the new looks.
J. Alexander gives the models runway lessons, then they're challenged to walk on a moving catwalk. Designer Sue Wong and photographer Mike Rosenthal are guests.
Contestants point out each other's worst flaws, and Twiggy and Jay Manuel teach them to turn those imperfections into positive attributes. Janice Dickinson makes an appearance.
Supermodel Iman gives contestants beauty tips; comic Chris Spencer offers spokesperson tips; and Ryan Devlin ("Entertainment Tonight") interviews the models. Photographer Jason Wilheim also appears.
Contestants endure a grueling workout, meet with editors for ELLEgirl magazine and pose in the style of 1940s pin-up models with tight corsets in an automobile ad.
A recap of the first eight weeks of the season includes never-before-seen footage of the contestants, including what happens when a bird gets loose in the house and pranks that Coryn pulls on the other models. Also, Jayla is confronted about her negative and hurtful comments.
The models visit Eva Pigford, the show's 2004 winner, on a photo shoot and are challenged to appear angry while posing with stars from the series "Wildboyz." Later, one model is selected to appear as a guest star on "Veronica Mars."
Tension mounts as one model is accused of constantly talking about her competitors behind their backs; a photographer reveals candid pictures he took of the contestants that show them in an unflattering way; the gals pose in underwear inside a telephone booth. Guest judges include model Jenny Shimizu and photographers Mark Anderson and Nick Maroudias.
