Follows Sue, a widow, and her new android assistant bot named Linda, a secondhand AnnDroid Z58/100 Basic Eldercare Robot; the overly attentive, socially inept robot is Sue's worst nightmare, but maybe the droid has its uses.

Sure, it’s a show about a robot, but it’s shot through with a love and care that are entirely human. Go to Full Review

If Diane Morgan has produced something without the bite of Philomena Cunk series, Ann Droid has humbler virtues, and is no worse for them. Go to Full Review

Ann Droid is funny, painful and shrewdly observed. Go to Full Review

What they forgot to include, unfortunately, was quite enough of the comedy element... It’s so busy being sensitive and moving and poignant about senescence, loneliness, death and loss that it doesn’t dare go in hard enough on the jokes. Go to Full Review

Deann S @2gcuqkrntv 1d Funny, lots of heart and a touch of science fiction blended together in a way the British do well. See more Kim M @Maseycat 2d Brilliant!!! Such an original series, with so many laugh out loud moments. See more Su N @CallMeBetty 3d Quite a slow and mellow comedy to start, but increasingly endearing and touching as it goes. By the end I was devastated it was over. See more Steven B @RT87522530 4d This series is terrible, unfunny and I find the acting annoying I at the same time BBC has cancelled live at the Apollo they are not heading in the right direction. A complete loss See more John L @RT46290889 6d If a comedy can legit make me tear up on the first episode, that's an Emmy winner right there. See more Ronald S @Ron44 6d Dull, boring and Sue Johnstone deserves better See more Read all reviews
