Arliss Michaels is the super athlete's super-agent, wheeling and dealing in the higher echelons of the sports world - an arena filled with glamour, hypocrisy and money. The sports agent extraordinaire is not above misbehaving as outrageously as his superstar clients in an effort to get what he wants when he wants it. Most episodes include celebrity cameos, usually people well-known in the sports industry.

Having fun with the adventures of a sports super-agent, Arliss Michaels (Wuhl), the show is essentially mean-spirited and devoid of a single ethical character. So at least we know it's accurate. Go to Full Review

There is no mushiness at the center of Arliss, which returns for its fourth season as snappy and cynical as ever. Go to Full Review
Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly 06/25/2019
Please have Buffy the Vampire Slayer drive a stake into sports agent Arliss' heart; if my vampire theory proves correct, he'll turn to dust, and HBO executives can emerge from hiding to perform a ritual cancellation. Go to Full Review

Arliss has the same cynical attitude about major sports stars as [Sex and the City] has about finding a good man. And Wuhl certainly captures the sleazy, optimistic spirit of a wheeling-dealing agent who usually smells of money and cynicism. Go to Full Review
