It's not easy being outcasts at Pine Academy but at least Astrid and Lilly have each other. One night, the bullying escalates too far and the girls have had enough. Their sadness and fury accidentally open a portal to a terrifying and quirky monster dimension. Now, not only do Astrid and Lilly have to navigate high school, their families and their crushes, but they also have to vanquish a bunch of terrifying monsters with the help of their guide Brutus and their hilarious new superpowers.

Litterally obsessed with the fortwell ship and hopefully we will get a second season to continue to rejoice in monster hunting and see where it will lead our caracters! PROTIP: charismatic actors can in fact, play talentless losers. You dont need to actually cast talentless losers. Anyone who says "forced inclusivity" (or whatever the buzz term is nowadays) is what's ruining hollywood is off the mark. IMO, it's this apparent practice of "hire the first person who fits the physical description" plaguing so many productions these days. No need to assume just because you're casting a character who is overweight or an otherwise visible minority that you'll have to settle for subpar acting. Plenty of awesome unconventional looking actors out there. From new(ish) faces like Raven Goodwin and Alex Newell to veterans like Mo'nique. Some of the best in the biz are visible minorities. Anyway, that's enough of my personal gripes with Hollywood. The bad acting is far from the only problem with this show. Aside from the interesting premise, it doesn't really have much else going for it. I'm not sure why there's such a huge disparity with the audience score here and on other sites but the general consensus elsewhere is the show sucks and I'm inclined to agree.
