A decade after being acquitted of murdering her daughter in a court decision that enraged millions and earned her the "America's most hated mom" moniker, Casey Anthony tells her story in her own words. Through a close examination of her version of events, exclusive interviews with people deeply involved in the case, including the officers who initially charged Casey, and unprecedented access to Casey herself, the series offers a jaw-dropping new perspective on the untimely death of 2-year-old Caylee.

The theories proffered by Where the Truth Lies don’t hold up to much scrutiny, and do little to clear up the numerous inconsistencies in Anthony’s account. Go to Full Review

A new documentary, Where the Truth Lies, gives Anthony a voice, grappling with claims of sexual abuse, police incompetence, and the media’s inability to talk about trauma. Go to Full Review

Will likely infuriate viewers. One of the most vexing, feckless, self-pitying, cunning narcissists. I don’t know what the purpose is in giving Anthony a platform except for the fact that it will do well. You’ll need a shower. Several showers. Go to Full Review

Casey Anthony’s story is not particularly credible... The documentary, nevertheless, is vaguely interesting, if only because it’s the closest we’ll get to a cross-examination of Casey Anthony. Go to Full Review
Mara Kleinberg Decider 11/30/2022
While the case surrounds Caylee and Anthony as her mother, it doesn’t allow us to see them as interlocked and related and that defeats some of the heart and purpose of the show’s significance. Go to Full Review

GG R @RT73046091 03/30/2025 Whelp this certainly didn't do her any favors. Her bullshit is so transparent. The whole pointing out lies George said . He was covering for his daughter in the beginning days! Then when the realization hit that she murdered his granddaughter , not to mention being accused of molesting her, he was done! Sending her to death row: What was he just not going to testify after all this?? He wasn't looking at it as sending her to death row, rather telling the truth and getting justice for Caylee! Thaty part where she tells her employer, oh come to think of it... My Dad would put a pillow over my head until I passed out. Um ok?!! You're for the first time develging this info now?? This theory all a sudden? You wouldn't have said this from the start, let alone ever? Give me a break. Rot in hell! See more Shawna D @Beanieboo 03/19/2025 Talk about bad acting....she did not help herself doing these interviews. See more Gabriella P @RT43443050 03/10/2025 This woman is a known pathological liar and narcissist. To give her the platform to further her lies and her story is absolutely disgusting and tasteless. The things companies will do for views. See more Jaidyn R @DrunkenClam 03/07/2025 I turned it off this made me so angry. See more Castillo L @RT95358195 01/20/2025 I regret watching this documentary, and while I try to keep an open mind about this case, I can't believe that the producers are giving Casey Anthony such a platform to continue her lies. In her jailhouse letters, she vaguely mentioned that she "thinks" her father might have done the same thing as her brother. A few weeks later, when the possibility of the death sentence is mentioned, suddenly, she has vivid memories of the abuse. Her story does not add up to me. She blames everyone but herself, and if her dad were truly involved, she would have mentioned that earlier in the case, not at the last minute. She made up elaborate lies, continued these lies, stole from people close to her, and is a textbook version of a psychopath. See more Brittney K @RT66447504 04/03/2024 It’s a damn shame this murderer was given the opportunity to unconvincingly perpetuate her lies. Casey Anthony murdered her baby. Our justice system failed Caylee Anthony and her family who truly loved her. See more Read all reviews
