Students who have failed in a conventional school system get a chance at redemption in a dreamlike educational setting. The troubled teenagers, who either dropped out of or were expelled from high school, enroll in "Dream School" thanks to the efforts of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and musician Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson -- the series' creators and executive producers -- who bring together the school's faculty, a wealth of successful professionals from all walks of life. They try to inspire the students to turn their lives around and rekindle their desire to learn, but overcoming past failures and future obstacles proves to be no easy task for either the students or their mentors.
