Think Indiana Jones, with ducks. Go to Full Review

The series has recently been revived for a whole new generation, evidence of its continuing appeal, but the original still feels just as fun, wacky, and well-crafted today. Go to Full Review

What DuckTales did so well was to tell adventure stories that were "safe" enough for the kiddies, but engrossing enough to engage slightly older kiddies, making for a show that played across several demos. Go to Full Review

It's still a fondly-remembered show with plenty of plots to delve into, whether the ducks are heading into space, to the bottom of the sea or facing off against some evil rich folks who want Scrooge McDuck's treasure.ck. Go to Full Review
Jesse Hassenger PopMatters 02/14/2019
Despite (or because of) its merry capitalism, DuckTales is reasonably imaginative and adventurous, taking the characters from their home base of Duckburg to Egypt, Scotland, the open seas, and elsewhere. Go to Full Review

Stephen C @bob25009 Sep 23 65 funny episodes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Originally aired on American Broadcasting Company (ABC) and streaming on Disney+!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All ages admitted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See more Nick S @NickSpecter 09/13/2024 Entertaining enough to have playing in the background while working. Riddled with omissions, errors and some lazy writing but overall good. I don't have nostalgia over it as I didn't watch it as a kid but I appreciate seeing more background on these characters that I met through Lorcana and the Miki Maus comic books from my youth. So many episodes too! Could have been 2-3 seasons not 1. See more Mike P @RT12804995 10/24/2023 Ambitious and well-made syndicated Disney adventures from the 80s are surprisingly good; and proved very popular and successful back in the day....High energy storylines; good production values; solid animation spell out a quality kids show from the 80s from the House of Mouse; better than I would have expected, truth be told... Alot of it plays out like an animated Magnum PI or Riptide or something; but it is fun; well-written and well produced... (It wants to be like an animated Raiders of the Lost Ark but it's more like an animated Goonies...) And actually neither this nor it's present day reboot can hold a candle to a lot of the adult animation offerings that are currently streaming from the DCU for example; I just saw a Batman movie, Gotham By Gaslight; that was KILLER...for example...I mean it just puts OGs Duck Tales and Thundercats to shame, to be honest with you. But that's ok. It's a great big wide world out there; and there's room enough for all of us...Room enough for Scrooge McDuck AND Batman Gotham by Gaslight...And these Duck Takes also pack a wallop in terms of Nostalgia value for Gen-Xers....So....Overall: Recommended, classic animated Disney program is very watchable and high quality... Great for kids and 80s nostalgia buffs. P.S. I just found out classic Disney actress June Foray provides her vocal talents for the characters on this show!!..Foray who was an iconic and somewhat legendary voice over lady; providing the voices for Disney's original animated Peter Pan (1953); as well as their academy award winning Three Little Pigs; as well as Mulan; and many other Disney movies, shows and specials!...Foray also famous provided the voice for the iconic Chatty Cathy doll; as well as her evil twin Doppelganger, Talky Tina from the Living Doll episode of The Twilight Zone!! See more 04/18/2019 This show is the best show made by Disney! See more 04/16/2019 Very entertaining from Disney See more 03/26/2019 This is an amazing show. Great characters and quality. The Ducktales universe is one that should be more exploited in animation. See more Read all reviews
