See more 05/26/2019 I stopped watching the first episode after the lead character started doing Scarface size cocaine lines in the back of a bar, not because that's so objectionable, but because the IQ of this series is so low that cocaine could not have been the stimulant. Instead, the writers must have been ingesting some brain erasing substance that brings to mind "Carbona not glue." Instead of using actual words or character development, the script is plugged with obscenities, everyone giving the finger, and women offering sex without any reason. I thought there would be humor a la "Bull Durham." These writers wouldn't even understand the soundtrack to Bull Durham. All the DVDs with this show on it should be confiscated, thrown into a pile and recycled into some material more beneficial to mankind. Thank God I didn't pay for this. The show's tagline is, "Every kid has a baseball player to look up to. Kenny Powers is not that guy." That is a FACT. It's also what had me struggling through the first season. The character of Kenny Powers is monumentally unlikable. Just when you feel like cheering for the guy he's back to doing something self-destructive or idiotic to put him in a worse position than he was before. Eventually the situations become so messed up that it's hard to take the good with the bad. This first season perfectly introduces us to Kenny Powers, the lovable dick-head who vicariously acts as a symbol for ego-tism for a whole plethora of celebrities and professional athletes.
