Famed chef Emeril Lagasse may be a Massachusetts native and closely connected to New Orleans, but he knows his way around Florida, as highlighted in this series, in which he travels around the Sunshine State to showcase some of its authentic cuisine and beautiful scenery. Lagasse travels from the panhandle of northwestern Florida through the central part of the state -- where he may even visit his own eatery, Emeril's Orlando -- while making his way to the southern coast, including Miami and Palm Beach. Among the highlights of his travels are college football tailgate parties, airboat rides, and experiencing the South Florida nightlife.
