In Daddy Issues and The White Lotus, Aimee Lou Wood plays a cheerfully lippy straight shooter. Possibly to showcase her range, the British actor has created this fanciful if melancholy-tinged comedy... Go to Full Review

As the latest rom-com on the pile, it has the feel of a debut labour of love: fresh and rather in danger of being all over the place. Go to Full Review

[Film Club] poses plenty of questions about life, love and loneliness, and wanders around in search of an answer, never quite settling on anything. It is subtly off-kilter, and an understated gem. Go to Full Review

A show for anyone who rages about cinemas that choose the wrong movies as part of a retrospective or can recite entire speeches and scenes from The Empire Strikes Back or Thelma & Louise. Go to Full Review

Endearingly heartfelt ... this wonderfully nuanced series also sincerely understands the experience of feeling through cinema and feeling seen by it. Go to Full Review

Film Club can be slow, and the mental health theme feels underexplored, but there’s dark sweetness and energy here. I’d be happy to see the sequel. Go to Full Review

Chris H @RT60525826 Oct 22 Lovely to watch; the characters are a joy and the whole thing is somehow bonkers and yet understated. You do, of course, want to knock the two leads' heads together, but that's par for the course with these things. Superior stuff. Look out for young man of the moment Owen Cooper in a small but key role. See more Andrei D @RT74856639 Oct 21 Everybody tries hard but the story is just not that fun and it goes for something interesting at the end and whiffs it See more Robert W @RT28195051 Oct 18 I am upto about episode 4. All a bit surreal, but it makes me chuckle, and I find the characters very endearing. I keep thinking it's not quite right but then find it hard to switch off or not watch the next episode. Would recommend See more Jasmine S @RT70500814 Oct 14 I cannot stop thinking about this show. Aimee Lou Wood and Suranne Jones are brilliant. A love letter to people that are barely holding it together and still managing to find joy. See more John T @RT90244621 Oct 12 Convoluted, unreal , quite odd. The idea at the heart of it, an agoraphobe living her life through old movies and running a fillm club in her home would be fine for a shortish feature but as a romcom sitcom it is frankly terrible and quite often hard to follow. I lasted three eps. Some critics have said they got into it in he last couple of episodes but that is far too late for most viewers. See more Read all reviews
