The animation in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was limited at best, but the show lives on in our childhood memories as something we had to watch every day. Go to Full Review

Beloved for many reasons. There's the notoriously rushed production... giving it a unique and charming look. It's also revered for its vision of a kid friendly techno-barbarian landscape. Go to Full Review

So, does He-Man stand up? Yes, but only if you hold fond memories of the show or if you're too young to read this review. Go to Full Review

Action, colourful characters and even a meaningful moral were all up for grabs in this cartoon fantasy, which charted the exploits of Prince Adam, who could transform into He-Man, THE LOUDEST INDIVIDUAL IN THE UNIVERSE! Go to Full Review

Any TV show that delivers this many characters as allies and foes was going to be great. Especially ones are bizarrely characterized as these. Go to Full Review

Mitch B @RT97279008 Jul 7 A great start to a great series. See more Hoff H @RT68392683 01/26/2024 I was late getting into this, I wish David Hasslehoff voiced someone in it See more Kyle E @Horrorbouy 08/12/2023 "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" were and still are, to me, one of the best cartoons ever made. This is a classic tale of good vs. evil, where each single episode was a story in itself and it always had some morale to tell. The characters in the cartoon were colorful and very well fleshed out, both the good guys and the bad guys. You had strong heroes, wise heroes, those who ended up in bad situations because of bad luck, you had devious villains, plotting henchmen, and so on and so on. Every character brought something unique to the series, and it worked out very well. Even the re-make of the cartoon series around 2002 proved quite impressive to me as well. I grew up watching He-Man on TV, and I loved the show, I loved the toys, and I am still quite fond of "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe". This is a series that I return to ever so often for good old times and for the good entertainment. And it is something that I will pass on to my son. If you were born before the 80's, chances are that you know the He-Man cartoon, unless you were living under some isolated rock in a galaxy far, far away. If you were born after this glorious decade, you might not be familiar with "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe", and that is a tragedy. So you should do yourself the favor of actually purchasing the original 80's series on DVD or BluRay, and also get the 2002 series as well while you are at it. "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" is a timeless classic cartoon that is fun and exciting. Definitely one of my top favorites ever! See more 08/08/2021 Just didnt live up to the hype. Teela already had a show and in smith's revelations is unlikable at best. Smith got to live out his perverse childhood fantasies writing a he-man story centered around the female characters so I guess good for him but the cartoon was boring and a poor reconstruction of the original See more 08/03/2021 Long one, sorry. 4.5 Stars hands down, 5 if it had been drawn by the guys from Fire and Ice. The show is hilarious, It's just great fun, even though "it's made to sell toys". That didn't stop Filmation from creating great little adventures for kids and their parents, to enjoy and learn something. It's often surprisingly deep or even dark. I mean, Teela was chosen as a HUMAN SACRIFICE F.C.O.L.! AS A NEW-BORN! Without Duncan (Men at Arms), she wouldn't even live. Speaking of Teela, in this show she was drawn very realistic. Unlike that other horrible fan fiction from KS and Netflix. Where they blatantly turn every woman from the original, in to bad copies of steroids chugging hulking men, while turning the L´light-hearted , "mountain of a man", Prince Adam in to an 18-year young boy with extra feminine eyelashes and no clue abut women. The reason why Teela, from the original show, looks by far superior to the undercut sporting Teeman... All of the MAJOR CHARACTERS are REAL PEOPLE. You can't draw Teela "unrealistic" when she is actually drawn from actual and real camera footage. (rotoscoping) There's no point to be critical about her looks. HE-MAN and THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE!!! Yes, it's great fun, because it's not perfect! But the show got heart, a HUGE ONE. And that's what is completely missing from the Netflix corporate fiction. Love it! See more 08/01/2021 30/10 and GOD!!!!!!! See more Read all reviews
