Jimmy R @RT42593821 Aug 18 My review is specific to episode 4 where a young sparing doctor chooses his home to settle down in philidelphia. Jeremy is looking for a colonial house with a yard, 2 car garage, a extraordinary large shower, and a room for a wet bar in downtown philly. Jeremy currently has no dog, 1 car, is 5ft 7 and knowing him personally from college doesnt drink. Where these desires have come from in his house search baffles the audience from the begining. Dave the realator seems to be aware of jeremys lack of grounding and takes him on a tour of 3 strikingly different homes around philadelphia in an attempt to fulfill Jeremys need for colonial architecture inspired by his non-colonial childhood home. The episode is intermixed with Lianne rightfully pointing out the flaws throughout the homes, and in jeremy himself - reminding him of his place. This is all occurring while Dave suggests that a full kitchen or bathroom reno is only 10k in the current inflation driven society left to us by tarrifs and biden administration. Leaving you to wonder if he actually selected the houses for jeremys tastes? or is dave just a shell of the trump administration set to convince us that inflation isnt real? It wasnt until late in the episode though as i watched Jerrmy sip wine in his future kitchen did i realize the vanity in the show that upset me was not the point. This is a man simply following his own version of the american dream. Jeremy is someone that wants to have 2 cars in the downtown of a walkable city. Jeremy is someone that wants to wear an undershirt with a polo. Jeremy is someone that dreams of playing a drumset solo without a band or audience to listen. In this the episode finds its saving grace - we should all aspire to be living the american dream that Jeremy does. See more Read all reviews
