Adapted from a hit BBC show, this genre-bending crime drama/buddy comedy/sci-fi fantasy revolves around modern-day police detective Sam Tyler, who awakens after a near-fatal car accident to discover that he has been thrown back through time to 1973, where he has to pursue police work with none of the 21st-century digital gadgets he's used to employing. Complicating things further, his boss is gruff Gene Hunt, a politically incorrect old-school cop who never hesitates to bend the rules when he deems it necessary -- or even just convenient. Is Sam in a coma, or is something more fantastic behind his new reality?
