Muniz, as the grown-up Malcolm, is terrific. So is Kaczmarek as Lois. And Cranston, as Hal, goes through so many broad comedy pitfalls and pratfalls that he's like a Tex Avery cartoon character. Go to Full Review

Proves a great show stays great when the characters are true to themselves, and honor is paid to what came before to deliver one of TV's most heartwarming stories and finales. Go to Full Review

At just four 25-minute episodes, the revival gets in, gets out, and feels like exactly the kind of treat that knows better than to overstay its welcome. Go to Full Review

German V @DavisMex 1d Great revival, i hope they make more See more Luis Alberto S @RT10646430 1d The essence of the series remains the same; obviously there are changes, but they are changes that do not affect the context of the previous seasons; it is certainly something that unfolds in a very good way.I'm eager to see what comes next. See more Cordy O @Cordy 1d woke. Give it a miss. See more TheDrdressup T @RT38426708 1d Awful, and even partially ruins the original show. It's infused with leftist politics to a ridiculous degree (I hate when shows have leftist politics forced into them, but I can still ignore it to an extent; this one is just too much), and it's just not funny or entertaining. The plot makes no sense, and every new character is annoying as hell and extremely unlikable. Stevie being gay is the most ridiculous retcon I could ever come up with, the non-binary character is ridiculous because that as a concept makes no sense, and Malcolm's girlfriend is entitled and annoying. A large part of the plot revolves around her being extremely upset when, after Malcom telling her that things were "complicated" with his family, she bumps into his family. The reason she is so upset doesn't make any senst a all. He didn't say they were dead--only that things were complicated, so why is she so upset? She claims key trust is broken. What? What are you talking about? Overall, this is just so sad. Awful See more Michelle V @Naturemama 2d This show is a total masterclass in how to do a reboot right. I love that they leaned into everything that made the original so good, the fourth-wall breaks and those rapid-fire scene transitions feel exactly the same. It doesn't feel forced or like a weird 'reunion' special, it just feels like a natural progression for the family. It’s that same biting humor we loved, just matured a bit. I really hope they keep this going for more seasons! See more Noah B @Bartyboy2010 2d real comfort show for me—so going into this sequel, I had high expectations. Thankfully, it feels like a natural continuation. It captures the same chaotic energy and storytelling that made the original so special, while also introducing new characters and directions that keep things fresh. I think it does a great job of continuing the story in a way that feels true to what came before. There’s a strong foundation here for exploring Malcolm’s next chapter and the challenges that come with it. Even though some elements feel familiar, and you can sometimes predict where the story might go, it still manages to be engaging and enjoyable. Overall, I’d love to see how this develops further. It’s exciting to revisit one of my favourite shows and see it move forward, and I really appreciate everyone involved in bringing this continuation to life. See more Read all reviews
