See more David P @RT44952262 09/08/2023 I'm sure the Expert Critics will have an absolute field day eloquently lacerating this latest bout of Mrs Brown. It's intellectually vacuous, utterly unoriginal and coarse, with banal plotlines and a cast of wholly one-dimensional characters. But frankly we all need to sit down every so often and make time for well-intentioned nonsense. Mrs Brown ain't gourmet TV, but that's exactly why we need it. And I challenge anyone - and be honest with yourselves - to get through these latest 4 episodes without cracking at least one smile, even in exasperation. When Agnes delivers a monologue on appreciating family while screwing a plastic pole into Grandad's backside, perhaps. Or when she bursts forth from the cupboard clad in ludicrous golfing gear and promptly launches the club - having previously called it a "racket" - straight through the living room window.
