Barrie story begins in 19th century London, where a young pickpocket Peter Pan (Charlie Rowe) and his mentor Jimmy Hook (Rhys Ifans) are transported via a magical orb to Neverland, where they get caught up with the pirate captain Elizabeth Bonny (Anna Friel), who seeks the power to fly.

Syfy's miniseries Neverland doesn't end up having much of a point, but the cribbed elements from other popular fantasy TV series, movies, and books are mixed together in an entertaining way, which makes the enterprise definitely watchable.
