Ami James, the sharp-tongued, brash tattoo artist who gained fame on TLC's groundbreaking series "Miami Ink," takes his tool kit north in an effort to become the "Tattoo King of New York." As he opens his new shop in the heart of Manhattan's SoHo district, James manages a brand new crew and the accompanying challenges, while getting accustomed to a bustling city vibe that is miles apart from the laid-back South Beach scene.
