"Escapologist" Jonathan Goodwin tries to get out of a series of bizarre and potentially dangerous homemade contraptions to illustrate various theories. For example, he might attempt to escape from a rapidly spinning barrel as it hurtles down a hillside to show how spinning affects the human body, or lock himself inside a box on top of a shaking washing machine while his body is covered in 200,000 testy bees just to illustrate what the body can do with minimal movement. In another segment, Goodwin allows himself to be used as a human projectile, placed into a giant slingshot and launched more than 65 feet into the air.
