Claude I @Sonofwolf3 Apr 6 IMO there were numerous problems. One thing that is non-negotiable is chemistry between lead actors. These 2 have none. The previous did. How can Producers of a hit show not know this. The Detective character is always hostile. The stories seem thrown together some times. Such a disappointment. I was barely able to finish the season. Hopefully something is learned. Listen I know the other actress had to leave, but if this continues next season will also be a bummer and probably their last. See more Matthew S @RT15508728 Apr 2 Just binged Patience Season 1! Fabulous. Came to a screaming stop halfway through episode 1 of season 2. The meanness is just awful, and completenely at odds with the tone of the first season. Jessica Hynes is a great actress - has been since Spaced. Why do this to her? See more Rob B @RT85847795 Mar 29 Who killed the new boss' dog? She's indiscriminately lashing out at the world. (even parks her motorcycle in front of a bench seat). Her management style, while being realistic, is too PTSD inducing for me. See more Phil F @Astridfan Feb 10 The whole point of the original series astrid Murder in Paris is the relationship with the other main character bea or raphaelle . The script writers have changed for the worst and produced a rehashed murders in paradise/york . The main characters autism is now replaced with a permanent puzzled look and a tendency to wear headphones. The writers seem determine to introduce weird and inappropriate characters and screens to the story from a diversity officer to a Viking festival . Unwatchable tosh See more Eljay E @Eljaybaby Feb 8 I got hooked on season one straight away .... i started season 2 and the detective is horrible ... i am 14 minuetes in and im already put off!!!! Bring us the original back!! WE DONT WANT THIS HORRIBLE DETECTIVE ... kill her off and get the original back .... no explination or nothing .... ring glasgow and tell her come back!! .... i will carry on with season 2 and i hope to see the original come back .... if i dont i can personally say .... i will not be coming back for season 3 .... the original detective MADE PATIENCE!! ... the original detective gave her the time that noone else did !!! ... please let me see the original come back .... please dont ruin this series ... i will come back with my review after this season but after the first episode ...(ITS NOT LOOKING GOOD) ... horrible new detective ... she deserves to fall on a spike See more Jim S @RT38575331 Feb 8 I really enjoyed Patience Series 2. The acting was very good and the whole thing was a 'must watch'. For mine, it is better than Astrid from which it is adapted, but didn't reach the heights of Patience Series 1. I missed the subtle humour, the sly moments in the background, or fleeting expressions, to lift the narrative. The arc of Series 2 - opposites reach an accommodation, was a step down from Series 1 - opposites find mutual comprehension and appreciation. I also found it confusing that Patience has gone from "Don't touch me", to kissing and holding hands with her boyfriend. Was this character growth and development or a writing error? But overall, this was a cut above other offerings. I hope there will be a Series 3. See more Read all reviews
