The main character in the books is Franklin, a guy who must kiss Lilly Weezbrock by the end of the school year to remain in the land of the living in which Pretty and Scary follow. Pretty is a female monster who likes Franklin and Scary is a male who can shapeshift. I don't know what this is, but it isn't Pretty Freekin Scary. Disney should have just called this something else entirely. Disney and every other production company just needs to stop with the race and gender swapping of characters. If they are not going to follow the books, then make something else and leave the books to a company that will actually follow them instead of destroying them.
