Paul B @OddBurton Jun 17 If you wondered why the actual results weren't posted for the final episode and you were either scratching your head or shouting "bullshit" at the tv when the winners were announced, here's why ... In previous seasons, the final episode broke down the actual appraisal numbers for all six teams. Season 6 announced what many of us knew was a foregone conclusion well before the final episode ... Allison and Michel would be the winners. There was never any doubt, especially if you paid attention to the sheer number of times viewers were reminded that Allison was returning for her third time because she hadn't won yet. Enter the script. Turns out, that the results weren't shared because the actual "value" of the homes, two of them, at least, were inflated. When the homes were put on the market, both the Knight's home and Allison and Michel’s home had to remove structures because they were not permitted—the goat shack, the outdoor dining structure, and the ADU all had to be removed from the properties. Allison and Michel’s was still listed at $1.3 million ... As was the rookie home of Chelsea and Cole. Value was removed from two homes because they literally broke rules by exceeding what was legally permitted. Value that supposedly helped the winners win the show. In reality, the actual winners won because of the fence they built. Why was Allison and Michel's home still listed at $1.3 million even after their ADU was removed and donated? Because they "won" the show—the celebrity value boost, not actual value. Here's the deal. Personally, I was not a fan of Allison and Michel's design. I questioned how they could purchase a fancy, fully decked out ADU for 30K (or whatever they had to spend on that competition—turns out she was allowed to call in a "favor" to get it cheaper or free). I'm not a fan of competition shows like Rock the Block that are obviously scripted and this proves how bullshit the show is ... Why treat your viewers like idiots? I'm a fan of the Kamala's, they are as real as it gets. Michel, not so much, that dude's ego and attitude is all kinds of punchable. See more Read all reviews
