"Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale" is the dark mystery of four women, a wicked secret and a murder investigation that shakes their idyllic English town to the core. Sanctuary packs in enough twists to keep its seven hour-long episodes moving along at a brisk clip, but its more fantastical elements are deployed sparingly. Go to Full Review

Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale is a refreshing new series that features less witchcraft and more crime drama in a surprisingly human story. Go to Full Review

Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale is lacking on almost all fronts. Despite an enthralling performance from De BhrĂșn, who bridges the gap between good and evil whilst playing Abigail, there is almost nothing to grasp on to. Go to Full Review

R.S. G @RT92921323 Jan 22 I finished up season 1- it was very interesting but I gave it 4 stars because some parts were so "cliche"
hopefully Season 2 will not disappoint! I am hoping that the writers will not get caught up in only focusing on Sara Finn as the main source of controversy- she had her turn, move on to someone else and allow her to actually be the "good witch.." with no suspicion from others. See more SinĂ©ad W @Sine_86 Jan 20 It’s like the director said "I want your character to be even more white, more British, more privileged". I actually can’t stop laughing at some of the actors đŸ€Ł and it’s not suppose to be funny. See more Lisa B @RT15212684 03/27/2025 The ongoing stupidity of the characters was truly annoying. The acting was so-so. It felt like a Lifetime movie. When you watch a movie and are exasperated instead of entertained, it's bad. See more Belle C @RT61550446 03/10/2025 As a big fan of Discovery of witches, I’d say this too tickled my fancy. Very good plot, acting and characters, can’t wait for season 2. See more Susan J @CallMeLulu 02/24/2025 The first 2 episodes were super interesting, fun, compelling, and promising. From there it took a radical and tragic nosedive. The show devolved into unrealistic scenarios, cartoonish characters (where they had been somewhat intriguing in the beginning) and just lazy one-dimensional writing and unintelligent plot twists. By episode 5 I was restless and dismayed by how completely empty it had become. By episode 6 I was fast forwarding thru much of it and making faces at the screen when I stopped to watch a few minutes because it was tiresome. By episode 7 I could watch only 3 minutes and deleted it from my recorder. No more. Ultimately the entire show was a frustrating waste of time. I feel drained of at least 20 IQ points for having watched it. See more Wendy B @WoodlandElf 01/20/2025 I loved Sanctuary from the beginning to the end! There were some very despicable characters in this show which made it very interesting. I loved the witchcraft and Sarah Fenn the witch! Highly recommended! See more Read all reviews
