dean b @RT61329335 Oct 16 Well, I am only discovering this comedy series about 12 years after it came out. I like to take my time haha. In all honesty, the thing that made me give it a go was the fact that I am a big fan of Netflix series called YOU and the main actress in this comedy was also in season 4 and 5 of YOU. I wondered what she would be like at comedy. Cos her YOU character is a wealthy, well regarded Director of a charity , posh voice and quite formal. I had a lot going on in 2014 and tv watching was lower on my agenda. Here, the first series has six episodes and the first four are ok, worth watching nothing new. Credit given to actress Stella Gonet who plays them mother who gives one if her best peformances i I have seen in a show she has been in, with the exception of The House Of Elliot. The sun in episodes 5 and 6. HOWEVER then there is a shift and the quality dramatically takes a turn fi4 the better…the situations are funny , the actors have found their feet delivering at exactly the right moment, the visual comedy is spot on moment an£ it feels more original. The two leafs are clearly having fun and know 5hr6 have a good script to work with. One wonders If they rehearsed it over and over to get it so spot or whether it happened by chance. Looking forward to seeing if the save keeps up at the same pace or if it slips slightly.
