Starring sardonic, neck-snapping super spy Sam Fisher (Liev Schreiber,) the show puts a fresh spin on the games' formula while retaining the appeal of the beloved stealth-action franchise. Go to Full Review

A spy series in 2025 needs to have some cool action to meet the genre’s standards. Splinter Cell: Deathwatch has awesome visuals in this regard, allowing us to feel the effort and danger facing Fisher. Go to Full Review

Visually, “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch” is attractive and compelling, and while it takes some narrative risks, nothing bothered or angered me. Derek Kolstad (also the creator of “John Wick”) has done a fine job with the show. [Full review in Spanish]. Go to Full Review

While it occasionally sparks into life in the final act (with Liev Schreiber acting as a fine replacement for Michael Ironside), it never matches up to the quality of the game series it's desperately trying to imitate. Go to Full Review

Definitely feels dialed into its video game and book franchise source material. But it also has a lot of style on its own, and a growly lead voice acting performance from Liev Schreiber, two factors that feed its freestanding quality. Go to Full Review

Deathwatch isn't the hard reboot some fans may have been hoping for; it's more of a supplementary component in the franchise. Still, for newcomers, there’s plenty of action and intrigue that could entice viewers to dive deeper into the franchise. Go to Full Review

Emanuele C @Ema93reviews Jan 5 Nice story, good combat scenes and I found characters just fine, some less then others. I liked the ambients and the drawings are enjoyable. See more Rant R. @RantReviews Dec 15 As a long time fan of Sam Fischer Splinter has been an incredible series of games This anime Netflix show is incredible The writing is serious and quick It gets to the point. To the people complaining about diversity You are not real fans I am an adult I am better than you. See more Thomas W @Enigma0999 Dec 12 This feels like boring garbage made by people who’ve clearly never played a Splinter Cell game. Sam Fisher comes across as a worn-out old man who moves maybe a little to fast for the age and isn’t even the main character. Instead, the lead is a "diverse" 110-pound woman—which, at this point, is hardly surprising. The iconic goggles are hardly seen just like any exciting plot. When I think of Splinter Cell, I expect a cross between something like James Bond and Rambo: First Blood. This isn't it. See more Mark D Nov 25 Great action sequences. Story is ok. Makes the most of the type of animation media it's presented in. See more Curtis C Nov 21 Netflix always shows stuff like this to me like I would enjoy it but it is always the same-looking mediocre nothing See more Cyns Corner Nov 20 3.25/5.0 - Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is a tight, fast-moving espionage thriller built around covert operations, shifting alliances, and a steady escalation of danger. Liev Schreiber voices the lead role well, while the series balances action with a storyline that blends present-day missions and key flashbacks that shape the central character’s motivations. Whether you know anything about Splinter Cell or not, the show stands on its own as a slick spy thriller. Video review: https://youtu.be/VMiikYwdS3Q See more Read all reviews
