See more Ash P @AshParth May 6 If you're not familiar with Genndy Tartakovsky, he is who gave you Primal, Samurai Jack, and the Hotel Transylvania movies. This is technically a series, but I kinda think of this as a two hour movie when you see both hour long episodes into one. Don't take my word for it if you don't want to. Yet trust me, some parts did have me feel the length of it all. It's an amazing animated series that not only is a proper introduction to Assajj Ventress and General Grievous. It is also Anakin Skywalker's ascension as a Jedi Knight. For the most part, it is creative in many ways like the underwater battlefield, seeing droids and the clones joust on pike's, Mace Windu in his own segment, and seeing Padme and Yoda taking a detour to Illium to save most of the Jedi Temple where the kyber crystals were stored. Technically, the story itself is mainly the Clone Wars, and each segment is set in each battlefield while you see other segments involving overseers like Palpatine and Count Dooku. However, when I've said earlier that I was feeling the length of it all, I mean it as it had some bumpy pacing. But I digress. There is also this segment that is near the end of the series involving Anakin playing as the white savior as you'd see in other movies. Funny enough, the Indigenous folk on that planet does make me think of the Indigenous folk from James Cameron's Avatar series. I will give that segment credit for being something new in Tartakovsky's end, but I couldn't help it that it could be its own series or movie. Technically, I got a bit of Primal vibes since some of the models are like the main protagonist from Primal. What carries the movies is the action and the subtle segments with the animation played throughout the movie, or rather micro-series, as you're reading this. Some of the voice lines do make me laugh out loud. Not in a bad way, but just silly. Even the voice cast does well for this movie. At the end of the day, it is worth checking out if you're a fan of Genndy Tartakovsky's works or just a Star Wars fan in general. Sure, it was short-lived when it was on TV back in the 2000s era, but better existed than shelved, if you get what I'm talking about. I mean, his next work is called Fixed, which was canceled and shelved from its theatrical release until Netflix bought the rights to release it on streaming service itself later this year. I'm gonna give this one eight Padme and Anakin saying goodbye silently through glass out of ten. 8/10. See more Dean G @RT94828269 Apr 21 Top Quality Star Wars Animation. Canon or not, it explains how Anakin became a Jedi night, the show introduces some great villains, one who ended up being in Revenge of the Sith. A must watch!
