Supergirl: Season 3 (2017 - 2018)

Season 3

Critics Consensus

Heavier themes lead to higher stakes, but Supergirl gives its eponymous heroine and her fellow supers plenty of room for growth, creating a well-balanced, engaging third season.

It is a master class on how to keep your feet on Earth and launch clear, honest, intelligent and fun superhero adventures every week. [Full Review in Spanish]

It was just full of depressed heroes, drama and angst, and had so little actual superheroics and fun...

The most intriguing, engaging, and spectacular season of the series to date.

[Supergirl] uses the laziest possible storytelling tactic, and [it] annoys the hell out of me.

Jul 5, 2018 | Full Review…

There was a lot to process, in what felt like a chaotic end-cap to a very uneven season.

Light and breezy and fun, fun, fun.

J'onn J'onzz on Supergirl has always been delightful, but it has gotten even better this past season when they brought [in] Carl Lumby...

Superb writing.

Supergirl is a show that's smarter than it's sometimes given credit for.

Apr 18, 2018 | Full Review…

If Supergirl spends its [third] season letting Kara Danvers rediscover herself, one moment of solace at a time, it'll be a season well-spent. If not... well, it'll probably be pretty good, no matter what it does.

Dec 12, 2017 | Full Review…

Supergirl continues to make the case it's a much improved show with Mon-El up, up and far away.

Nov 2, 2017 | Full Review…

After an entire summer away from these characters, it's tough to come back and see our heroine so far removed from everyone else.

Interesting. Easy to watch. Nice storyline.

    Best season of the series

This show progressively becomes unwatchable each season due to its overwhelming SJW content. Television is for entertainment why is that so hard for these people in Hollywood to understand. I can not watch anymore woke trash. Guess I am done with the arrowverse.
  • Jul 20, 2019
Reminds me of the seventh season arrow that is the most depressing and the most difficult harp to defeat
  • May 12, 2019
Is it trying to become worse and why does ir matter if its Supergirl and not Superwoman? All that matters is you save people, right? Damn :(

First two seasons where good, now it is sjw garage.
  • Mar 03, 2019
Terrible. This should have been excellent. Instead it is used as another far left propaganda piece. How does garbage like this make it on television? If I want politics, I will watch the news. People watch TV shows, especially a show like Supergirl, to be entertained. They certainly don't want to watch privileged, Hollywood elites living in ivory towers tell them how to think. Hollywood...can you PLEASE get back to entertaining and leave politics out?

We quit watching it. It's not about superheroes. It's about being woke. I'm fine with liberal agendas, but not when it is more important than the actual story, or acting. Supergirl on Justice League Unlimited was way better, and she was only a supporting character there.
