The ability to juxtapose the dualities of countries and countrymen, people divided by politics and history who have evolved to have different cultures and mannerisms, remains fascinating to watch. Go to Full Review

Clever and at times piquant, it's no masterpiece. But it is an excellent summer diversion. Go to Full Review

It stands on its own on the strength of its cast and direction, but more importantly, has been adapted in such a way that it casts old European enmities in a new light. Go to Full Review

Sure its backdrop of grey, English Channel towns, with their 1970s architecture and prolific seagulls, is hardly uplifting, but the characters feel believable with real depths and conflicts. Go to Full Review

Janette B 08/27/2024 I'd watched the Bridge years ago and quite enjoyed it, but I have recently watched the Tunnel seasons 1-2 and am currently halfway through season 3, and I've enjoyed this much more. The scripts are detailed but tight, the production value is great and the acting is excellent. It feels atmospheric and well-rounded, and you're guaranteed some gripping and enjoyable tv each time you watch an episode. See more K M 11/06/2023 The entire series is excellent and impossible not to binge. See more whoknows w 12/07/2021 Interesting twist on the typical "Bridge" show, good chemistry between the actors, believable action scenes, engaging plot and a fairly tight script. I'm saying "fairly" because the penultimate episode had a very weak plot-script where you end up saying: "but why didn't they.." which was the obvious thing to do. It was such an important part to the plot to get right, but it was so weak that I almost gave up watching because of it. I removed one star just for that. You'll see.. See more 07/20/2020 really not that good, not worth watching See more 08/26/2018 The First Season of The Tunnel is a Rollercoaster ride. Who Really Did It. It keeps you guessing.Excellent!!
