In "The Choe Show," world-renowned artist David Choe turns his eccentric, compassionate and disruptive worldview into a lens for an audience to experience a radical empathy for others. From the walls of his childhood home, Choe takes his guests on a journey where he is a motivational interviewer and compassionate listener. He uses the acts of art and play as Choe and his guests depart on a journey of shared emotional experience. It is through their bonded and authentic connection that Choe is able to bring forth an of-the-moment honesty.

It's a mixture of celebrity psychotherapy, dadaism and comedy that adds up to a genre-busting experience the likes of which you won't find anywhere else on the tube. Go to Full Review

The Choe Show is a fascinating glimpse at what makes him tick - or maybe it's the artistic representation of what he wants TV audiences to think makes him tick. Go to Full Review

The Choe Show is full of artsy weirdness, but the interviews are genuine, as are the responses David Choe gets from the friends he talks to. Go to Full Review

The Choe Show can be entertaining and compelling, but Choe is searching for answers without necessarily knowing the right questions. Go to Full Review

08/08/2021 I started the day listening to David on Tiger Belly and wanted to watch Choe Show after hearing him talk about it on the podcast. The only expectation I had was that David Choe had total control of this show. As someone who loves having insight into the mind of an artist, the show became like an art exhibit for Choe's mind. The audience has an insight into how he sees the world as an artist and it is breath-taking. I watched all four episodes in one sitting and was disappointed when the final episode ended because I wasn't ready for the season to be over. I was left with a feeling of, "this is exactly what you've been looking for." The show is heartwarming. The show is real. The show is the s**t. Fingers crossed we'll have more episodes in the future. I can't wait to see what comes next from David Choe. See more 07/30/2021 This guy's art looks lazier and sloppier in his old age. Why did he bleach his hair? Looks so bad. See more 07/24/2021 Love this so much but WHY ARE THERE NOT MORE EPISODES?!?! I need more. 😫 See more 07/20/2021 the choe show is narcissism in a nutshell. choe weaponizes talk therapy and art as a way to dig into his own projections about his adolescence. overall its a clusterfuck of stimulation which is probably why everyone is fooled into thinking the flashes of choe's mania paralleled with childhood imagery is the epitome of genuineness. the editing is choppy so the conversations can become muddled between guests but at times they flow relatively well. it feels like an acid fever dream which is exciting for but at times this sensation feels too calculated. See more 07/18/2021 THIs show sucks ass! WHo are these losers hyping up this show like they found a gOD? do they have no real friends in real life? They're all crying like they foudn the best thing ever but they sound like losers. FX sucks. See more 07/18/2021 im in tears and shaking as I write this this show shook me It dug up so much in my life this is the best example of what tv can be a show like this should be taught in school this can change culture, after watching I turned off all electronics and sat with myself for the first time since I can remember grateful to David Choe and grateful to fx for putting out a show like this See more Read all reviews
