Despite its repetitive and unoriginal structure, The Law According to Lidia Poët entertains and showcases a patriarchal society in the backdrop and the brutal sentences for women with hopes of emancipation. While most of the episodes involve Lidia solving a murder mystery, there is also an overarching mystery that runs through the first two seasons and creates dramatic tension.
