The film follows the investigation into two teenage boys who stabbed her repeatedly and then attempted to pretend they had nothing to do with the crime. As the story unfolds, the documentary carefully pieces together what happened, making it impossible to look away. While it’s not "entertaining" in the traditional sense, it is extremely watchable because the case is so shocking. The timeline, interviews, and evidence reveal how senseless and cruel the crime truly was. What makes it even more disturbing is the realization that the boys seemed to commit the murder simply for the experience, which makes the story even harder to process. Overall, the documentary is heartbreaking and intense, but it effectively tells Cassie’s story and shows why justice was necessary. It was interesting to hear the numerous interviews of the killers’ parents - especially when it came to their beliefs that their sons should be released from prison. Yes. 16 is young. But have these guys been healed in prison? Personally, I think they are fine right where they are. I sure feel safer, knowing they’re locked up. It’s a good true-crime documentary. Honestly done.
