"The Tracy Morgan Show" wants to be another family sitcom in the Damon Wayans or Jim Belushi mold. But it plays like something the UPN rejected, a show whose target audience is people who've lost their remote.

In the era of hundreds of channels, the Internet and video games, a new series has to give viewers a reason to make the effort to watch. The Tracy Morgan Show falls well short of this obligation.
